Discovering Death and Despair in My Garden

It was one of those ordinary garden mornings. Innocently, I set out with my coffee and pajamas to survey what the night shift had been up to while I slept. Just a quick peek to see if the deer had left “a tip”. After all, to them, my garden represents nothing more than a quick bite– a 24/7, all-you-can-eat Cracker Barrel–a pit stop after a night of carousing.
